Banverket
Banverket (BV) var en svensk myndighet som fanns från till Det förvaltade svenska statens spåranläggningar och hade övergripande ansvarade för all spårburen trafik i Sverige. Banverkets huvudkontor låg i Borlänge, med regionkontor i Luleå, Gävle, Sundbyberg, Göteborg och Malmö.
gick Banverket upp i det nybildade Trafikverket, med ansvar både för spårbunden och vägburen trafik i Sverige.
Historik
[redigera | redigera wikitext]Banverkets huvuduppgift var att förvaltasvenska statensspåranläggningar. Dessutom hade Banverket ett så kallat sektorsansvar för all spårburen trafik i Sverige, det vill säga även sådan infrastruktur som inte är statlig. Exempel på sådan trafik var Lidingöbanan, Roslagsbanan, Saltsjöbanan, Stockholms tunnelbana, samt spårvägstrafik i Göteborg, Norrköping och Stockholm.
Banverket bildades när SJ delades och tågtrafiken delvis avreglerades. Banverket ansvarade för drift av större delen av järnvägsnätet i Sverige och delade mot en avgift ut plats på spåren för de företag som ville frakta gods eller passagerare. Även nybyggnation av järnvägssträckningar upphandlades och planerades av Banverket.

For the normal train or commuter passenger, the extraordinarily comprehensive work that has been carried out is not visible, but it is noticeable by the fact that rail traffic can run at much closer intervals and is less sensitive to disturbances than previously. In addition, the new signal boxes are a precondition to be able to build the new City Track.

Banverket (Swedish for 'rail administration') was a Swedish state administrative authority which acted as owner on behalf of the State and maintained virtually all main railway lines in Sweden; except for short sidings for freight, heritage railways, the Stockholm Metro, local railways in the Stockholm area (Roslagsbanan & Saltsjöbanan), and the tramways in Gothenburg, Norrköping and Stockholm.
